SALTON EXPEDITION II
Not a yak man, just an old school local and expert lifelong small craft sailor looking for an extra hand or two to pull off a badass desert adventure, sailing the length of the Salton Sea from the northwestern end to a point near Red Hill Marina County Park, approximately 30-32 nautical miles on a broad reach (if westerly winds prevail). Fast point of sail for the Fish, a broad reach... that would be a 12' Minifish, smaller cousin to the Sunfish, since my 14' Laser of decades got downsized in this Brave New Obamanomic Third World economy. A friend and I sailed the width of "The Toxic Lake" last year, reaching across from Salton City to a point near Bombay Beach, then returning on a reverse course... got photos posted at other websites, for anyone serious about pulling off this badass adventure. This time, I'll be running the length of the Salton, towing a sturdy inflatable raft astern, which means four people can go: two aboard the boat, two aboard the raft (along with a cooler or two full of food and beer on ice). Any likely candidate will undergo at least one day of sail training here in Dago, just to make sure he or she can hack it aboard the Fish. If ya can't handle sailing here in Dago, you damned sure won't cut it on the Salton, which is no place for sidewalk sissies, that's for GODD@M SURE. Only a few simple rules aboard my boat: NO WHINERS, NO FAGS, NO LYIN' BADGE-SPORTIN' GREASEBALLS OF ANY KIND, AND NO TEMPERANCE REVIVALISTS... WE DRINK BEER ON EVERY VOYAGE, AND SH!TLOADS OF IT. In fact, any hand interested in such a venture will be fully expected to bring plenty of beer, ain't goin' nowhere without making a contribution, LOL. Now, the primary mission here is to SAIL THE SALTON SEA, not to FISH, so bear that in mind: I already enjoy bragging rights for sailing across the Salton Sea, since there AIN'T NO CLUBHOUSE KOOKS AND POSERS OUT THERE, AND THERE DAMNED SURE AIN'T NO EPIC FAGTARD DARWIN FAILURES, LOL... NO SCUMBAG COPS IN SIGHT EITHER, WHICH IS A BIG PLUS. Why the f___ do ya think we go out there, anyway??? Well, guess that's enough for now, let's see if this post makes it with no trouble, 10??? If anybody's wondering why I'm posting here at this website, I deal with SUP folks and kayakers all the time as I beach my boat EVERYWHERE in Dago County: not just bay beaches, but the Point, my hometown beach of Coronado, the Strand, the f____g islands, the Salton, you name it, it has already been done, and the photos are posted elsewhere to prove it. Ya hear fagtards who CLAIM to have landed in those locations, but of course they LACK PHOTODOCUMENTATION. We don't suffer from either problem, LOL, while SUP folks and kayakers who go through the same launching and beaching routine as I do are probably more likely to have what it takes to pull off this badass desert adventure, the SALTON EXPEDITION II.
ANY HANDS INTERESTED IN PULLING OFF THIS BADASS DESERT ADVENTURE, GET BACK TO ME HERE... SALTON EXPEDITION II WILL OCCUR IN APRIL, ONCE THE OPEN WATER AREAS OF THE WILDLIFE REFUGE ON THE SALTON SEA ARE NO LONGER CLOSED TO MARINE TRAFFIC (i.e. no permits or bureaucracy required to sail through the refuge).
