01/27 SD Bay

Hit the water at 0600.
Outgoing tide, peak low at 10-11.
Tide wise, bay is always hit or miss with me. Some days the water movement/current is slower then predicted and sometimes not. In fact somedays it's ridiculously fast. At times during my drifts I was moving 2-3mph lol... Luckily I had a heavy rock fish lead ball and it kept me on the bottom.
Was lazy and bought live mini macks, put em on a three way. Picked up a few 18-20'' what what in the butts, no big hens found.

Sure beats work, caught a buzz at 9am, and had fun either way. Happy hunting gents.

Just for fish porn sake, here is what a under age 18-20'' halibut looks like.
