Tongyeong Kayak report

Tried for black porgy (sort of a seabream family), but didn't pan out. Lot of sea perch and red gurnard though, which are still tasty and provided some action. With temps in the 20s, it was chilly in the kayak for sure.

This was a new area which was interesting to check out. Current wasn't bad, and the waters pretty sheltered. Spent the night in a 25 dollar hotel, shared room with 6 other guys. Didn't matter to me about sharing a room as I hit the water as soon as I woke up anyway. Pretty nice place.

Cold weather sucks and is hard on equipment. My chum mixer handle was cracked before I even took it out of the package, and my life jacket zipper was busted in half.
