Lenguados grandes
The 40 lber was caught on live squid. I was drifting and didn't feel the bite but when the rod slowly began to load up, I knew either 1) I snagged the bottom or 2) I nailed a big flattie. As there was very little weed on the bottom, the adrenaline kicked in pretty quickly in anticipation and I quickly stashed the squid jig, wound down... and it loaded up beautifully. A slow, lazy run ensued and I knew right away this would be a personal best.
The 20 lber came ball bouncing on fresh dead - massive hit that took lots of line and pinned the rod in its holder for a bit. After I got it out, he was spent and came up pretty quick.
