la jolla 4/27 or 4/28?

I am planning to hit la jolla on 4/27 or 4/28 for the first time and i was wondering if I could meet up with a small group to point me in the right direction, wet some lines and shit the bull for a while. Also, my rods are spooled with 30 lb test, is that going to be good for most of the fish out there? Thanks all!
