Slow day at Dana
I headed out of Dana Point harbor at first light this morning, picked up some lively bait at the barge and headed out to the boiler rocks. It was a washing machine peddle out with no one around for first two hours. The seals followed me from the harbor opening to the buoy by the boiler rocks at the point and wouldn't leave my bait alone. I've never seen so many seals and I couldn't get them to leave. Any tips for legally getting them away from you?
Caught a couple small calicos on new Reeb jig, and a mac on a squid iron at boilers. Fished the harbor for a couple hours before noon and missed a big hit on my dine while throwing plastics. Slow day fishing but sure beats a day in e office. Hoping the halibut bite heats up soon.
