Launched with the kayak4fish crew and headed to the pier for bait, made bait rather quickly loaded up on greenies, spanish and sardines. Did the long route on out and combed the 100 foot mark all the way through the south kelp all por nada of the right kind. Saw lots of cuda caught and boiling about, finally got something to tug on my line wound up being a nice sized calico, he swam happily back to his home, none of the right kind for me, maybe tomorrow. Water temp was a very nice 64 degrees, although the wind at the end of it made it a bit cold, called it a day by 10:30 or so.
