Buggin in the rain
Went out tonight in the rain. Figured it would be a good chance to hit one of my spots that's not too far away. I generally avoid this area early in the season with all the boaters still about.
My normal honey hole is quite a hike but there's never any boat traffic. With the rain pouring all evening, I figured there wouldn't be as many boaters and I could hit a much closer spot I have and catch bugs in 1/2 the time. Well, I wasn't wrong This is my 9th trip, and 9th time hitting limits. These weren't as big as my others but legal limits none the less. Sent 31 shorts back. 5 hoops pulled 3 times each to hit limts. It was cold and wet but worth it. Good thing I got my flu shot earlier in the day For those haters who have been lingering lately. Go ahead and EXIF data, check it out http://regex.info/exif.cgi I'm going to try to make some lobster burgers as my next recipe. Stay tuned... For the sake of being a contributing member without blowing up my spot all over the internet, I'll let it be known this spot is easily accessible from Dana Landing. I worked some structure that can be found in around 22 foot of water not too far from one of the 3 bridges. I timed the crawl with the tides. Moving water is a hoopers best friend. If you see me on the water I'll be more than happy to take you there, but I won't post it for all the leachers to see. Last edited by Drake; 10-21-2012 at 03:11 AM. |
