Exclamation Beware The Red Water Off La Jolla

And I don't mean the plain old everyday red tide. Beware the blue whale fecal plume.

A blue whale and its feces off La Jolla, California.

They say it is all good because the flocculent fecal plumes make the "whale pump" to move nitrogen through the ecosystem. Remember that when it slops up through your scupper holes and sticks between your toes, and drips down your paddles and all over the hands that you use to eat your snacks with.
