First Post-Deployment Day on the Water...
Made it out today in the South Bay with my daughter. Got a later start than I wanted, and we were on the water a bit before nine. Headed straight out from the marina about a third of the way across and my daughter gets a spottie on her first cast...got a little windy with some small chop, which my daughter loved as we bounced around a bit. We stuck around for a couple hours for a total of 4 spotties and 2 macks...with her catching 4 of the 6 fish...
With 4 section duty and duty only days for the next 2 weeks, followed by two weeks leave I'll be trying to get out as much as possible...if anyone is heading out to the bays or La Jolla, and doesn't mind having a newb tag along I'm willing to provide drinks, baits...whatever... Markus
