Catalina Adventure July 30-Aug 1 2-Day
Catalina Adventure http://campingcatalinaisland.com/ We are taking the Marina Del Rey Catalina Boat to two harbor and kayaking to the BOAT-IN Campsite. I ran into a few buy one get one free tickets for the Catalina Flyer at Marina Del Rey, so we will be splitting the cost of one ticket which is roughly $ 90.00. The free ticket has to pay a $4.00 tax fee. This is a boat in campsite so just carry what you can fit into your kayak. Each campsite is made for 6 people. People who are going: Frank George Matt Tim Erick *someone* We are short one person We need one more victim/guest to come paddle and fish with us. I have a buy one get one free for the Marina Del Rey boat and this is the reason why we are grouping in twosies. Jorge and I can only stay one night, but Matt is going to stay two nights. Prices are as follows: The prices to transport the kayaks are as follows: 11ft and under $40.00 Roundtrip 12ft and over $60.00 Roundtrip Roughly is going to be $ 107.00 (including a 12ft+ Kayak) per person + $16 camping site fee per person-(payble at the camping office once we arrive (Site: Paradise Boat in ) Please have one member in your party of two arrange for payment for the marina del rey charter. We will be leaving Sat @ 9am and George and I will be leaving two harbors at 4pm.
Are schedules are what they are and it is what it is... Our route: The red is protected area and the green is fishable area... Here is the plan: 1. Depart Marina Del Rey flyer to Two Harbors, 2. Chat with buddies 3. Paddle/fish out of the Harbor to the campgrounds 4. Arrive at lil Harbor setup camp and cook what we caught 5. Try to sleep through my snoring 6. Pack up Camp and load up the kayaks/ or stay another night with Matt 7. Paddle back to the Harbor. 9. Get on the boat and go home. I just spoke with the Catalina Flyer, they want you there at least 30 mins before the 4pm boat leaves for two harbors. So if we get there by 3 pm it should be fine. So hopefully it will good weather and we can leisurely fish all the way back from little harbor on Sunday. For those of you leaving on Monday with Matt. The last boat to Marina Del Rey leaves at 4 pm Monday. |
