Buying A Used Hobie

I'll start looking for one later this week or early next week.....need to get a few things taken care of before I drop all my mula on another yak. I'm looking for some input from those of you that have purchased a used Hobie or have had a Hobie for some time now.
  • What kind of issues, if any, are used Hobie's known to have?
  • Are there certain parts of a Hobie are are known to break/fail and should be paid particular attention to when buying a used Hobie?
  • Not that it would matter but is color a factor, does one fade faster than the other?
  • Are all Hobie bait tanks built the same? I heard something recently about some issues that came up with Hobie and its battery manufacturer
I'm not dropping the same amount of cash on a Hobie that I did when I bought my Prowler so I want to make sure I can get as much information as possible before I take the plunge. I don't need to get it tomorrow so I'm really in no hurry to grab the first one that comes along. I'm booked on the Islander 2.5 day trip so I'd like to have the Hobie by then, I'm sure that will be possible since the trip is still roughly two months away.
