Friday at LJ

Thanks to a buddy getting a skiff and the generaly poor conditions locally I yak fished much less last year than I normally would have. I made a not so triumphant return to LJ yesterday morning. Windy, choppy, wierd tall super short period swell at the launch. Had plenty of company, met a guy in a brown revo named Josh. Nice to meet you. Timed the launch decently with only one wave to eat and made great bait (green, brown, and dine) at the the reserve marker. Headed around the corner off the condo and on to off Marine street. Super clean water and nice current running. Sun came out off and on after around 9:00 and the birds began to get more active but I only saw one spot that tightend up. No boils under that aggregation though. Trolled a mack and bottomed fished for nothing. Any way, great day on the water and very glad I went out. I'll be back in LJ more this year for sure. Mike
