I was out early this morning to slip in the narrow weather window. Gentle rain and S breeze. Then it cleared, the wind shifted to the W, started to blow and the short W swell and chop began to build. My cue to head on in. It looks "okay" from the beach but once you get past the reserve buoys, hang on. First time? I'd pick another day. Or you could always practice your surf launch/landing.

I plan on battening down the hatches for the next day or so.

Caught and released one thresher (my first) so I had a good time.
