I've been wanting to fish a different part of the harbor and yesterday presented an opportunity to do so. I knew there was a big tide swing but I was still surprised when I showed up and found the water level so low. I trolled a deep water crank and shallow water/rattle crank for a couple hours before this little guy attacked the rattler. I was tight to the beach in shallow, dirty water when he hit.
I know he's way small but I was stoked because it's a new species for me on the yak and I haven't caught a butt in a while.... The rest of the day was uneventful until I landed and got a laugh at the crew girls freaking out about standing in the muddy muck that smelt like rotten eggs...haha.... -Chris |
