4/5 SD Bay bassin

Launched the yak at 0630 into a high tide and calm conditions. Sun was just peeking above the horizon as I headed out. Target today was the flat kind. Weather was warm so I was already busting a sweat by the time I paddled to my first spot. Fished a great outgoing tide for all you wanted spotties to start things off.

After about an hour and half I spot another yakker headed my way. Turned out to be none other than nuyabizness (Maggie). She too was out looking for halibut.

Drifted that area for the next couple of hours. Caught lots of bass including several larger sized sandies that were fun on the light tackle.

Tide started to go slack and the wind picked up so moved to another couple of spots por nada. Called it a day around 1130.

My counts were 20+ spotties and 6 or so sandies. All C&Red. Fish were caught using two different colored swimbaits smothered in Uni butter and also 4" lime tiger shrimp GULP!

Awesome conditions this morning. No flatties but oh well. Was cool feeshin with ya Maggie. That was a hog sandie you are holding up in the pic.

Peace,

Spyder
