Norwegian newbie says hello.
Norway calling, viking in a Malibu
Hi there! English is not my native language, so be nice... About me: One year from 30.. Skin/scuba-diving Fishing No kids, but a dog Love music-Metal/rock, will probably install my IPOD on the kayak... Working with the department of justice Loves travelling, been to US, asia, Africa, most of europe. Former military Very social, always in a good mood. Reading this forum and the australian http://www.akff.net/forum/ helped me to choose the kayak that I wanted. So yesterday I ordered a Malibu X-Factor, this will be my first kayak ever. I will get it next weekend, and I am really looking forward to put it in use here on the norwegian westcoast. On this map http://www.gulesider.no/kart/;jsessi...6tab%3Daddress ( norwegian yellow pages) you can see where my cabin is, and the coast where i will mainly use the yak. There are some very good sites for Seatrout and Hallibut in that area. But i will also try to catch a lot of other species. I also own a 19" Bella 572c with an outboard that I have been fishing from the last couple of years. Found out that a kayak had to be my next watercraft. Anyone been padling in Norway? any good advices for a beginner? I will also use the yak as a platform for UW-hunting and scubadiving. It will be delivered without rudder, so I have to see how I will manage. I have read a couple of posts about rudders, but have not made a choice yet regarding rudder. The norwegian westcoast is windy....so I will probably install... Aleksander the viking |
