Congratulations on your Big Sheephead! What a beautiful flat calm day. I miss fishing in kelp beds like that. The perch you caught brings back childhood memories of fishing off the rocks in Palos Verdes. We called those Buttermouth perch. The meat is fine, and I preferred Opaleye over them.
