Launched at Shelter Island kind of late in the day, have been wanting to go there for a bit so there looked to be a window to get out, so I did.

Water looked cleaner than Dana Point, at least the last time I was there. Current, outgoing, not that much, windy though. Since it was late in the day, I didn't want to spend $25+5 for sardines so I brought some shrimp and squid and swimbaits hoping to find some bass or maybe a halibut if I got lucky.

I wasn't, but I did have some fun catching sculpin, seemed there were a lot of them, and fairly large ones at that. Kept my limit, released about 7 others.
