Fun Double Sand Bass Hookup At Redondo

Had a great time today with my nephew. It turned out to be a beautiful day and the fog never materialized thank goodness. We were greeted by a large pod of dolphins. One swam right under his kayak and jumped out of the water after passing by. This kind of thing is what keeps me coming back. Landed a nice double on my first drop. This is the second time n a row this has happened for me. Found a good school of Reds in about 230ft but they were all small. I made it a point to bring my little homemade descender and sent a half dozen back to momma. Check out my quick video of the highlights. https://youtu.be/WrOgGu8iKnY

We were greeted by the Fish and Game after entering back into the harbor. It is interesting that they are telling people (recommending) not to eat the Sand Bass caught in the waters of Redondo down to Seal Beach. There must be some real nasty stuff inside these fish for F&G to specifically call out and suggest folks not eat these specific fish.
