Big day!

Lost my gaff the week before - perfect timing! After 1.5 hours of trolling a live sardine, I lip hooked a good one. Got him stowed, cleaned up, got back on the spot and 3 minutes later, hooked another good one.

So no gaff and no net but did have one game clip. With good current and a long leader, it was very nerve wracking. Both fish shook the clip repeatedly before I could close it and pop a gill. Both fish were personal bests!! 42 bs and 38 lbs.
