In my experience, and anybody correct me if I’m wrong, the first image on the right is the most recent image received by the first sonar contact with ground/objects/fish in between in the cone shape. (I’m sure there is easier way of explaining it)
I think, It’s basically first image of the entire cone shape sound that is bounced back and interpreted.
