Giving the Yellowfin a rest ....
For those of us not paddling out to the local banks looking for a trophy,
here is a late report from Saturday morning. Launched Saturday morning from LJ at 6 am, and 29 mins later caught a 20 lb. yellowtail on the 3oz (B-52) bucktail with a twist trailer near the bottom, around 115'. On the beach by 9:30 for some boogie boarding with the little ones. Pretty non-traditional choice of breakfast by this yellow, but I'd rather dead-stick my favorite bait than a 6X Jr., they slow troll very well at any depth, hang up less and don't tangle themselves. It worked anyway. Beautiful morning, you know, we live in PARADISE Kind of a bloody mess, but the she went immediately onto ice and the sashimi was XLNT!! Ready to go boogie boarding ... they can't wait for daddy to start catching "lomsters" again.
