Favorite Knot for 40# Fluorocarbon
I just tied a Palomar knot connecting my 40# Blackwater fluorocarbon leader to a heavy Salas iron and it broke at one of the bends as I was pulling it tight.
I thought a Palomar knot was one of the high strength knots for this purpose, but now I'm not so sure. I tend to use Palomar and San Diego knots a lot. For connecting my 40# or 25# Blackwater directly to my 65# Spectre, I use a Royal Polaris knot. What is your favorite knot for 40# fluorocarbon? Thanks.
