Newport, 4/23/17
Went out for rockfish today. I got plenty of nibbles but no takers. My sidekick managed to scratch up three nice sized ones in 170-190 ft. Gulp swimming mullets in chartreuse out-fished squid strips today.
Water was a little over 65 degrees, and the swells weren't too bad earlier in the morning. It was a little sketchy coming in (around 11:30). Slight washing machine like conditions outside the harbor made it even more fun trying to navigate the incoming/outgoing traffic. |
