Alaska Spring update

Sorry in advance for the long post.

I have been fishing sporadically given family and work duties since January.

Recently I have gotten several inquiries from Southern California about fishing in Alaska. Reminded me that I should update this board. I read this board a lot just drooling over the fish you all catch. I know the grass is greener on the other side but it just looks amazing...even from an Alaskans perspective! So great job every one.

So a few videos and pics from the past couple of months.

April 16. A 30 and 40 pound-ish fish

May 6. Gopro on my downrigger ball showing several smaller halibut chasing my bait

May 14 Sight fishing halibut: A 10 pound halibut chases my bait to the top. Goes and checks out my son's gear which already has a fish on it. then comes back to my gear and finally gets hooked.

May 14th: My son's 40 pound fish. Half as big as his largest kayak halibut but he manages this fish all the way to harpooning it himself which is pretty good for an 11 year old kid I'd think.
