BIG BAIT = BIG FISH

It's that time of year again, when the challenges of fishing are outweighed by the volume of life in the area. I didn't get a chance to do battle with the whole Southern California fleet this weekend, but went out Sunday afternoon. The still intact partial fleet (three sporties and ten boats)was doing it's best job of driving over the schools of Yellowtail (over and over and over again) and trying to ruin the action for everyone, but was again unsuccessful. I only made four pieces of bait (big-greenbacks) and each one found it's way into a Yellowtails' mouth. A fun afternoon of action when the boats all headed for the barn with more fish than I knew what to do with. I came back in the dark and didn't have a photo opportunity, but maybe I can improve someone's day with this report (get out there).
I had to fish for each bait real hard between bites, but each bait found their target within minutes after being pinned on back to back (I was keeping my rod in hand and never even putting it in the rod holder, fun)

I think there may be enough for this summer.
