Launched late around 6:30am this morning...set my alarm for 4:45, however forgot to set the ringer. Arrived to 1-2 foot sets, easy peazy launch. Made bait no problem...9 in the hatch in about 20 min, and off to slow troll - flyline and Carolina rig.
So, between short bites and the relentless dogs, I blew through 9 baits in no time. Went back in and made 2 more baits and proceeded to try the slow troll again and caught a bonito and a dog took the other bait. Went back in a made 3 more baits and tried it again for nada. Smaller fish chewing on baits. Called it a day at around 1pm. Talked to another guy on the beach, and his story was pretty much the same. Wanted to fish the night time from 12am to sun-up, however not quit there yet fishing alone... A couple of sporties were cruising around using there side scanning sonar, however they bailed. Didn't see any fish caught, bird activity was around the sporties and lobster guys only. Beautiful day on the water! Geno
