Good grade yellows showing up with the bait.

Paddled out with the peak high tide on Wednesday. Current was mild until the drop and the massive schools of greenies were crashing on the surface. Stalked the kelp underneath and missed a shot on a solid trio of YT that looked like wsb from 20 feet up. Big ones. Reloaded and worked the same bait ball. Dropped to 25 feet and took aim on a school of three. Just out of reach for a shot so I started banging on my gun and two of them came to inspect the commotion. Got a rear shot through the spine but it didn't stop him from tying up at 45 feet. Put some pressure on him and worked him up to around 30. Once I swam down to cut him out he spooked and busted out of the kelp. Got my personal best (shot) YT and called it a day. Current was downhill and the water was blue. Tight lines.
