Newport - Black Friday

Coast Guard station launch around 7:30 am. Clear skies, no wind, flat seas. Beautiful day.

Left the harbor and headed out past the buoy a mile or so. Was in 170-190 ft. of water looking for some rockfish fun. Couldn't find anyone to play with my frozen squid. Combed the area pretty good but the FF showed nada.

Headed in closer to the beach north of the jetty looking for some butts. No butts, but did manage some sandies, small calicos, a rockfish and of course bunches of mackrel.

Met fellow BWE'r DannyNguyen who was loading up on the macks. Good meeting and talking with you Danny.

Looked like an armada as I entered the jetty heading back to the CG station. Can't blame anyone for wanting to be on the water on such a beautiful day.

Don't know if the video works.
