Took 45 days but got back in the Saddle
Well that took longer then I wanted after being attacked by the tax man, the last two weeks trying to get out the weather gods did not play nice so was not able to get out. But they gave us a break yesterday to hit the open ocean and get some time on the water.
Was not as wary as I felt I would be but none the less borrowed my buddies spare yak, picking up mine next week hopefully and will have a full thanks to OEX Sunset Beach when I head down and pick it up. Loaded light this trip no camera other then my phone only one rod and a handfull of big hammers and bottle of pro-sure and the shark shied and headed to our spot. Once there none stop action for me on the LINGs caught at least 2 dozen with none being short so that was fun for sure. 4 of them pushed 12lbs kept the first two. Flat water paddling out... First hookup of the day... The two lings I kept... One of Kurts lings... Kurt hooked this guy and we were able to get him to swim off with no issues... Pretty rare for this far south that is for sure. We get our fare share of Canary's but Yelloweye's not so much. Video of release of Yelloweye... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qgu1FtpYWw&feature=youtu.be
