LJ 8/30 Late Report
Hit the jewel on Saturday morning around 6:30am. Launch was easy, and so was bait. Water was 74 later in the day, with a nice current.
With a full tank of greenies I headed to the fishing grounds and within a hour hooked up on a little 4-6 lb yellow. Released him, as I was in search of his bigger brother. Hook up again, feels small again and due to me setting the drag to tight (didn't check it like I usually do before fishing ) I pulled the hook. Continue on and just after 12 the reel starts screaming again. Put the reel in gear and its on. This one has a bit more weight and I am hopeful this is what I was waiting for. After about 20 minutes I landed my PB yellow! Just over 25 lbs on the digi scale. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSy2...SJdyafHNN8Db7A |
