anyone?
Recently did San O during the day, it was a great trip.
After reading a current post on WON... I have to get back there! Large white seabass continue to bite for boats fishing squid beds found between the Border Check Station below San Onofre and the area outside of Las Pulgas Road. In addition to white seabass, there is also an occasional large yellowtail or halibut being caught on the squid grounds. A good depth range to locate the squid and the seabass has been in 80 to 90 feet of water. The night and early morning daylight hours remain the best for the white seabass. The white seabass and yellowtail have been large fish with white seabass ranging up to around the 60 pound mark and with some 40 pound class yellowtail also around and biting. Anyone interested in trying to fish this place, let me know. As crazy as it sounds... what about launching old mans at night (7-8 pm). Fish all night, into the morning. |
