Catching my first WSB was awesome, especially since it went 49.8lbs. and
I was targeting WSB for several months before my first. ![]() But, by far, my favorite catch was this 29lb. YT caught in Baja. I was fishing Isla San Martin, saw a bird hover over a small boil. I casted an iron and BAM! I was on. The fight that ensued was where the drama was. The fish ran and headed for the only kelp within 20 miles and several times I thought I lost him in the kelp. After a couple more runs and about 20 minutes, he was finally in my yak. By the way, the fish was caught in a kayak. This shot was taken once we got the yaks back to Kelly's boat (of K&M fishing in San Quintin). |
