DP Hoopin' 2/21

Got on the water at 6:30. No fog. Perfectly flat water and no wind. Off by 12:30. Outside breakwall. 4 legal bugs. Tough night but the family can eat again. Whew!

Talked to a diver that came up all excited that he found not one. Not two. But three perfectly intact outboard motors in one spot near the breakwall without boats attached. Hmmmm... seems like a stash to me. Helped him get one of them onto his inflatable. That was interesting. Got gasoline all over my gloves. I'm so glad the MLPA took fishing areas away from us fishermen that are KILLING the fish. Because, you know, there weren't any OTHER causes for the lack of fish in our waters? Nah... There's no runoff, sewer polution, mercury, sunken boats of maybe an pile of outboards killing our waters.... Oh no.

In the process he also found a nice Sealine reel attached to a Seeker.
