Can You Carry a Concealed Weapon on a Kayak

Excuse me if i sound like a little B... but this last summer of fishing where whites have been poking up has put me a little on edge. My question to you is if we can carry while on a kayak? If not I was thinking about maybe buying a shark shield. What are your ideas?
