Channel Islands - Almost died

Coworkers decided to arrange a charter to the Channel Islands and invited me.

Decided to head out to channel Islands 10/26 at 10pm.

Water was very choppy, the boat's hull slapped all the way to Santa Rosa.

I think we picked up some G Force in some of those drops.

Nothing like sleeping on washing machine swells.

Rockfishing was good, boat limits.

Water was rough, banged up my knees quite a bit, trying to hold my balance while fishing.

On the way back, the swells were as high as the galley windows, the swell picked up the boat a few times, turned the boat to the side...... ( i thought were going to FLIP OVER AT ONE POINT) it was litteally like 90 degrees on its side at one point. All the loose items fell from the left side of the boat to the right side of the boat. Some people flew out of thier chairs.

The Co-pilot came out saying his "balls were in his neck on that one."

It felt like a big kayak surfing a wave in.

HE went to go make sure no one fell overboard. (Definately a trip to remember)

crazy weather
