Does a fishing kayak really make that big of a difference?

I am trying to decide on whether or not I get a fishing kayak or just get a regular kayak. I feel like most fishing kayaks I look for are a little more expensive than regular flat water kayaks. I think I could rig up the attachments I need for my fishing gear etc... but I wanted yalls opinion on whether or not I should buy a real fishing kayak or just get a regular one and modify it myself. This what I am looking at right now... http://www.kayaktrader.com/kayak-malibu-x-factor/

Thanks!
