"Well, the cat's out of the bag"
I always love when this phrase gets thrown around after just a few fish get caught, but everyone is waiting to post theirs.
It implies there is some sort of secret society of fisherman who get a hand delivered mail from the fish gods letting them know there is or about to be an epic bite. Followed by said recipient texting his very close inner circle of buddies and making sure everyone needs to keep it hush hush. While some of this is true... I assure you, there is no cat, and there is no bag. Jim's post just before mine expressed it perfectly. It's just time on the water, with a little help from your friends : By now this will be the fifth Sea Bass posted in 3 days. Some of you will sit there and say to yourself "OH MAN! I'VE GOT TO GET ON THAT!!!" while others are still struggling, trying to figure out a way to get all their vacuum sealed bags of sweet sweet bass meat into their chest freezers.
