5/17 PM
My first ever WSB. I launched at 2 PM and caught about 1/2 dozen greenbacks and spanish by 3:30 PM past the point. Decided to troll greenies high and low toward the kelp south of the hotel and fish along the kelp line. Once I'm about 20 ft. from the kep line, I turn east and paddle directly over some bait action. Within a few minutes, the clicker goes off on my low set-up. I put it in gear and feel a tug so I start cranking...then it goes slack. The other rod starts twitching so I pause a few seconds but nada. I start winding my line again and realize the fish is still there and it's pulling me straight down. After a few minutes, a 37 lb WSB on spring scale. Last edited by Pescavore1; 05-18-2007 at 02:15 PM. Reason: picture link |
