Launched around 3:00 PM. No swell, breezy but not sloppy.

Made bait easily at the buoy, ten perfect greenies in two drops.

Set out my lines and worked the kelp edge while heading west. Out in front of the hotel I see some substantial boils!!……. Looks like the right kind. Luckily I have my jig stick at the ready and fire the iron. Sweet shot just beyond the boil. Let it drop for five seconds and then rip it in for three cranks and whammo fish on. As I began to put the wood to what feel like a nice fish, my fly line rod goes double speed ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZing. WTF, no bites, then two at a time?? Just then I spot Mike Knott paddling out, He sees me bendo as I call him in on the pandemonium. My jig fish gets stuck in the kelp so I grab my bait rod. Two good pulls and it goes limp! Just then Mikes goes bendo…… His story.

Brad you skunkmiester where the “F” were you!!!
