Which Hero is it? The Professional or the Original? And what mounts come with it?
Thanks. |

I think you can trade in the older version + $50 at REI to get the new HERO. Double check, this is what I heard, may not be 100% true. That way you only lose $50 instead of $100.

from what i found out the new gopro hero 2 has a 11 mega pixal lens versus 4 mp lens on the older one. the newer camera also takes pictures every 2 secs vs 4 secs but you would need to have a higher speed sd card. i think they said a catagory 10. not sure what the price would be for that type of card but i am sure that they would charge more for it thouhg. it is priced at 299 and the older one is priced at 239 at sports chalet. i know that rei has then also for the same price.
hope that this helps you guys out when deciding which camera to buy. |

Class 10 cards aren't bad
I have this in my gopro and an extra battery, I get a whole day of surfing and kayaking on it, with plenty of room to spare http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Clas...1153277&sr=8-5 |

I take back what I said about REI trade-in deal. I checked with them and the deal does not exist anymore. Sorry about the confusion.
