South Kelp--today
Swell 3-4 not a factor. Perfect conditions....0 winds all morning...77 degrees. Made easy bait 3 at a time. Paddled straight out about 1 1/2 miles to 90 ft. Got picked up on the way out...fely like the lazy tug of a WSB....hit it twice but wouldn't eat it. The bite came on at 9am and I hooked 3 yellowtail on dead macks only to have all three stolen by a damned sea lion....the f*^#er wouldn't leave me alone....he wouldn't take the macks but wait till I hooked up and then surface throwing the fish and ripping it apart....I didn't think they could eat so much. If it wasn't for bad luck........... |

Sounds like the fishing is good. If only there were boats around there to pass the seals off too  . Thanks for the info. I can't wait to get back down there. How big were the yt?
