Rock scallops

Anybody know the regs on rock scallops? Cant find them on the DFG page. MKNOTT

I know I have been told that the bay scallops are off limits

The limit is 10 for rock scallops. Bay scallops are indeed off limits.

Rock scallops are listed on page 37 of the DFG 2006 Ocean fishing regs book. Mighty tasty if you can find them!

Rock Scallops

Mike,

The "Rock Scallops" was a bad funk band out of Great Britain that performed and toured with the Peter Herring Quintet in the mid 70's. They got into hot water with the DFG when, in some misguided stage antics, they cracked and chewed live mussels during a Bay Area performance, then grossed people out by spewing the masticated goo onto the front rows of the attending audience. Unfortunately, about a dozen of their former fans came down with amnesic shellfish poisoning a few days later.

Needless to say, the Rock Scallops' tastelessness in music was outdone only by their strange preference for out-of-season shellfish.
