Very expensive WSB.
When he returned with his truck, 2 lifeguard approached him and gave him a ticket. I ask the lifeguard later, and found out he was speeding and run a stop sign near the launch. Didn't know that lifeguard can write ticket too.... Be careful ! WSB don't worth a couple of hundred of dollars. |

The launch gets pretty crazy during the summer months. Be very careful when driving on the beach, 5 mph is the speed limit. Kids are running around, lots of people don't even know about the launch, seem all surprised by the cars.
Paul wrote a great article on La Jolla Shores Beach Launch Etiquette: http://www.kfaca.org/articles.htm#La...unch Etiquette Please do keep the noise down, especially early in the morning when it is so quiet. Do not forget, La Jolla Shores Hotel is to thank for the Beach Webcam. Please be considerate to their guests.

I'm always cognitive of the fact, that I'm in a residential area and do my best to load/unload quietly. As for the guy in the truck ignoring the stop sign AND speeding, that's inexcusable. If somebody was hit by this guy, you can bet there would be talk of not allowing vehicles on the sand at all.
