Tuggers
bass fishin was off the hook today! Thank you prowler user for the inspiring post... I was joined by Lou dog and Wiredantz today... good fishing with you guys! next stop...tuggers! and oh my...the tuggers were out in full force today... only one hit on the 5" swimmy, the 4's and the little green blams were the weapons of choice today...first tugger to get the stink off was a little friendly YBRF (released, as all fish were today)... then the fun began... and then Frank's turn... this was the best swimbait today... and then it happens... that moment we all fish for... that moment when you hope you put the wood to 'em fast enough to keep 'em outa the rocks... when you know it's a good'n and you hope you get to see it... when I saw this thing I knew it was a contender for a new PB... and I was right...I now have a new PB sandy, 8 lbs on the boga! this thing was a long as my kayak is wide...look at this... this is NOT a wide angle lense...this thing was a freak! I'm still just a giggling idiot... but that's not all...although there were no more PB's, there were still some more good quality bass yet to come... a nice solid 2 lber for Frank! and this one almost hit the 5 mark on the boga, a solid 4.5... and Lou dog had his day... a solid 4.75 grumpy ol' tugger.... and another big 'un... there were alot of good fish and the action never really stopped... ...just good clean American fun! No fouls for me 'n' Lou on the landing...here's Lou timin' it right... and here's Frank...not so right... no fish or humans were injured in the making of this post! or...wait...maybe a the little... the bass thumb! I love that... |

Dang, that's my kind of dream day. Hope Franks landing was only a bath and not a yard sale. Where were you at?

Awesome bass and awesome landing. Did anyone help the poor guy from drowning in 2" of water, or just keep filming him?

truely the best report I have ever seen, Frank, I can't say enough about how you let the whole world to actually witness a classic example of how to have "yard saleage", we did about the same in DP, the sandies were on, all the calico were short except for a 9# from a guy that was fishin in the SWBF tourney...water was RRRRRoghHHHH, but a great time, met some nice guys from Kayak Mafia, and Dana Point Jet Ski all good guys, had some burgers afterwards, the winner was a 4.5# sandie, fun time...
anyway thanks for the fish porn.... |

Lol I had a great time. I broke my record yesterday for the first time in history I caught not one not two But five fish! And 4 were Legal. After everything I learned yakrider told me I had to get baptized. Lol
But as always I expected a yard sale all my my rods were stored inside my yak as well as everything else. The fishing bag the hand pump and my yellow paddle float were all tied to my yak. Nothing was lost excePt for a foot peg I have no idea where it went. |

Fun day for sure. Can't wait to get back out & do it again.
Josh It seemed like every time Josh threw his line in the water he got a bite. He is one super fishy dude. I'm glad Frank had all his stuff stowed, it happens to pretty much everyone at some point or another. Quote:
