But, I did much better than yesterday, 7 legals and a few shorts, plus one beast that took me to the woodshed on my favorite buoy. My 6lb was no match for that fish. Like yesterday, the bite lasted until about 8am, then it died and I got very few nibbles after that. The mix was about 50/50 spot to sand, with the biggest being a sand bass about 2.5lb. Colors were pretty standard; fire avocado, gums, and sea food Flurrys and my secret weapon also got a few too. All baits had some Hotsauce too. I tried the Hyspin, but no love for the blade today. Tired and figuring the bite would stay slow I headed in at 9:30. So I guess for 3.5hrs of fishing, 10 fish ain't too shabby. I can't wait for the spotties to get into a late spring bite, last year was off the hook by this time. No pics today as I left my camera in the car.
