Current Still Ripping in L J, Honey Do Weekend

Kelp was down again yesterday afternoon. Surf must have come up overnight as it was clam landing at 8pm last night. Strangely, the NW corner kelp has been visible the last few times I have ventured around the corner to head further South where to kelp is all submerged. Bait was hard to catch except under the krill schools that popped with regularity and the bird descended upon them. I switched to larger krill pattern sabiki to match the hatch.

Water looks to be pushing toward 60 and with all the life in the deeper water I could end up catching a Yellowtail on a surface iron before I get one of these elusive WSB in my yak this year. Surf looks to be up through the weekend so it was good I got my fix early this week. Shores looks rough this am with a short interval waves breaking at launch.

Looks like a good weekend for gardening and Spring Cleaning.

The forecast is calling for rain through the weekend with higher surf. I was going to try and get out this weekend also. I'm shooting for the 26th now.
