I used to fish that area from a float tube a lot. Easy launch with small waves, as you are somewhat protected by the breakwall. I believe that I parked from Cherry St.?
There are Halibut there, bass by the oil islands. The baytubers used to hold tournaments there years ago. I actually would go to the pier just south of there and catch my bait (smelt, sardines) on a sabiki rig before I went fishing. Let us know if you try it. Matt |
