I was out in the harbor last Saturday and got four halibuts and two spotted bay bass.

I am planning to be out there again this Sunday.

If I recall, you like the back bay right Kevin? I'm not sure where to launch in the back bay, I was thinking about launching at K st.

Yes, the section of the harbor where PCH crosses over and towards the back bay is where I have had recent luck.

You can launch from the Newport Aquatic Center; that is where I launched last weekend. http://www.newportaquaticcenter.com/directions.html

I will be in a tan Hobie Revo with a orange life vest.

Perfect! I'm shooting for a 6:30 to 7am launch. I'm on a red/yellow Perception Caster (looks like a floating "Big Stick" ice cream bar). I'll look for you. Thanks for the directions too.

I fished under and around the PCH bridge about 2 weeks ago.We got 4 spotties in about 45 minutes then my daughter got cold and wanted to call it quits. This was dropshotting gulps out of my little skiff with a strong incoming tide.Good luck.

I've always had pretty good luck around the bridge - especially when the tide is rippin, I've bounced off the walls a few times, makes it a little tough to navigate.
